Hi!! I'm Darla!
I am a small-town girl at heart who has lived in large cities all over Canada. I have also lived in Mexico city for two years. Boy that was fun! Rural Southern Alberta is where I’ve settled down now for now. You will find my homestead filled with horses, dogs, cats and sometimes even a pig or lizard. I have three magnificent wild horses, whom were captured from the Alberta Foothills, they are my inspiration for many things I do. Hence, why Mustang Photography was the obvious choice for my business name.
I love shooting wildlife, landscapes, and really, all types of photography. I rarely put my camera down now.
But my heart has been drawn to weddings and newborns.
There is something about the happiness, love, and connection that I am drawn to.
I love to be able to capture a moment in time and preserve it, allowing the viewer to experience that moment again and again.
I also love how a photograph can bring up other sensory memories: the sounds, the smells, the excitement or sweetness of that moment captured. I love my job of being a visual storyteller.
I feel very honored when people choose me to be a part of their day, and allow me the opportunity to capture the special moments of their life. Whether it be a wedding, a new baby, special time with your pet or family, it really makes my heart happy!
Capturing the candid moments are my favorite thing to do. A smile, a wink or even a teardrop. Those make the best photos to me!
I am fun loving, easing going and adventurous so whatever my clients want I'm up for it! Except helicopters. They scare me lol.
I get excited about the little things in life and love to just be happy
